The Oyster Bay East Norwich Soccer Club is a nonprofit organization established in 1980 to enable the children/young adults of Oyster Bay, East Norwich and neighboring towns to participate in a recreational and competitive soccer program. The club has served the community for over 20 years, and has developed both an intramural program and travel program for boys and girls in the community. The intramural program is designed for the beginner player with an interest in learning the sport and developing the skills necessary to compete. For the more competitive and advanced players, the club offers its travel program. Teams are entered in the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) and compete against travel teams representing clubs from various other towns and communities. Presently, the club has over 500 participants ranging in age from Pre-K to 17 years of age, and is run on a purely voluntary basis by parents and other interested members of the community. The club is fully committed to not only develop the soccer skills of its players,but to also provide an environment that enhances the confidence of its players and instills the values of teamwork and cooperation that are essential in building successful and productive adults.
